As casas / The houses

Three villas, three front doors

The three villas occupy a single building, each has its own private access, its own kitchen, and parking. A single villa suits a couple; the three taken together place the whole property, gardens and deck included, in the hands of one party, with every door a few paces from the next.

A residência The residence

PALMEIRA

The principal residence. Living and dining rooms open west to the water, with a fitted kitchen at the north end and three bedrooms served by two full bathrooms and a half bathroom off the hall. Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs the length of the seaward elevation, framing the Atlantic for spectacular sunsets.

O deque / The deck

The yoga deck

A level timber platform set at the garden’s edge, where the ground falls away to the sea. It faces due west, with nothing between it and the Atlantic.

The deck suits small yoga retreats or small weddings particularly well. Please note the deck can be reserved only by booking all three villas. In all other cases it is first-come first-served.

At four by five metres the deck accommodates six standard size mats with room to move between them.

The sun goes down over open water on every day of the year. For about a week at the end of January, and again in the second week of November, the sun sets behind the Berlengas.
